Hi DonRumata, These Wiktionary entries were created within a research project running at the Research Institute for Linguistics of Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The project aims to create online lexical resources for Finno-Ugric minority languages such as Northern Saami, Udmurt and so on. The entries were generated automatically, but the dictionaries in their background were manually validated by native speakers and linguist experts of the languages, thus they can be treated as valid lexical data. Since we created thousands of new entries, applying Pywikibot's pagefromfile option seemed to be a good solution. The reason behind choosing such an opaque user name without providing an email address is that each member of the research group wants to use this account for this purpose. Now, I provided my email address. If there are no other reason behind the blocking than the fact that we are unauthorized, please unblock us. If so, please inform us about these problems. Thanks in advance! Finnotka (обсуждение) 18:16, 16 ноября 2017 (UTC)Ответить
Please, stop importing articles. Their format violates our policies ВС:МТ, ВС:ПОС. You should always discuss mass page loading on community portal page before start. Also you must request bot rights. Don Rumata 12:46, 17 ноября 2017 (UTC)Ответить
We'd like to discuss mass page loading on the community portal page, but we are blocked, therefore we don't have permission to do so... Unfortunately, we don't speak your language, could you please summarize the formatting requirements we violated with our articles? We are to correct them. Thanks in advance! You can use {{NEW}} template to create articles about toponyms. For example: {{subst:NEW|lang=se|тип=сущ|основа=Afrihkká|слоги=Afrihkká|помета=геогр.|[[Африка]]}}. Don Rumata 14:18, 17 ноября 2017 (UTC)Ответить
But i suggest creating sample page in Викисловарь:Инкубатор namespace to discuss it. I think will be good to add a reference to the source dictionaries in section «Библиография» (Bibliography) using template {{книга}} and add {{топоним}} template in section «Морфологические и синтаксические свойства» (morphological and syntactic properties). Probably you can add Saami hyperonyms (country, town, etc.). Don Rumata 15:14, 17 ноября 2017 (UTC)Ответить

NEW template править

Hi! You wrote:

...We are trying to create entries in the Russian Wiktionary, but we have a couple of problems right now. Ain92 has already asked you how we should create these entries, but our problems with subst:NEW template are the followings:
What should we do in cases of polysemous or homonymous words, e.g. when the same word belongs to more than one part-of-speech in one language? How is it done properly with this template?
Also, if the headword is the same in 2 or more languages (Udmurt, Komi, Mari, etc), should we use the template 2-3 times following each other?
Is it correct to use the pipeline (|) after the last argument of the template (the Russian meaning), if the word has more meanings in Russian, and a comma when these meanings are synonyms?
Thank you in advance.

First - the polysemous words. It's done within one NEW template like this (suppose we have an Udmurt noun with 3 meanings each with its own sinonyms):

{{subst:NEW|lang=udm|тип=сущ|индекс=|cat=|сущ=|гл=|прил=|этим=|син=_sinonym1
# _sinonym2
# _sinonym3|ант=|гипер=|trans=|пример1=|перевод=|помета=помета.|слоги={{по-слогам|{{subst:PAGENAME}}}}|основа=|_meaning1 {{пример|}}
# _meaning2 {{пример|}}
# _meaning3 }}

It's more complicated if you have several homonyms, then NEW is not enough, you first create and save an article for the first homonym, then edit it, inserting the rest with the help of {{ADD}} which works pretty much the same way as NEW. You also have to provide proper headings for each homonymous section; usually it is done with {{заголовок}}, but it's poorly documented, so you can use wiki heading2 syntax instead: ==word I== ==word II== etc. Suppose we have English homonyms, first is an adjective (created with NEW), second - a noun, third - a verb. So you add to the original text the following:

{{subst:ADD|lang=en|add=word II|тип=сущ|индекс=|cat=|сущ=|гл=|прил=|этим=|син=|ант=|гипер=|trans=|пример1=|перевод=|помета=помета.|слоги={{по-слогам|{{subst:PAGENAME}}}}|основа=|...}}
{{subst:ADD|lang=en|add=word III|тип=гл|индекс=|cat=|сущ=|гл=|прил=|этим=|син=|ант=|гипер=|trans=|пример1=|перевод=|помета=помета.|слоги={{по-слогам|{{subst:PAGENAME}}}}|основа=|...}}

At last - the multilingual homonymy - that's easier. For each language you use its own NEW, alphabetically sorted by the languages names in Russian. Good luck! --Al Silonov (обсуждение) 11:59, 2 октября 2018 (UTC)Ответить
